Japan Foundation Awards 2012

La Japan Foundation assegna un premio a singole persone e organizzazioni che abbiano contribuito in modo significativo e continuativo alla promozione della mutua comprensione tra i popoli e dell’amicizia internazionale attraverso l’impegno accademico, o l’attività in ambito artistico e culturale, con l’auspicio che proseguano in tal senso anche in futuro.

Documentary film “LIGHT UP NIPPON” to be broadcast in 120 countries.
A story of requiem fireworks launched simultaneously at 10 disaster areas by The Great East Japan Earthquake.

The Japan Foundation has produced a documentary film on “LIGHT UP NIPPON” project planned and conducted by young Japanese volunteers as a requiem prayer with thousands of fireworks display on August 11th for those who lost their lives in devastated Tohoku region by the Great East Japan Earthquake. We will broadcast the film in approximately 120 countries around the world through cable TV stations or satellite broadcasting networks.
